Gläfs has been inspired by NÄFS, Network of fiction in libraries.

The core of NÄFS activity is to get the various professionals - librarians, writers, scholars and researcher - with common interests to meet, identify problems and seek solutions. NÄFS has organised public seminars and now after four years switched to stimulate research.
