Computer glasses
Workers who work at a computer monitor for more than one hour per working day have the opportunity to undergo an eye examination. The employer will then provide employees with special glasses that are tested for computer work if an eye examination shows that work glasses are needed and that glasses for normal use cannot be worn.
Rules for eye examination and eyeglasses for computer work and other work that requires vision are regulated in the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s provisions on work on monitors.

A special requisition form for computer glasses is to be used. Send an email to HR to obtain it.
The university has an agreement with Specsavers. You book the appointment yourself. You can go to any Specsavers store, but you must always bring a requisition form from the university to your visit.

The university reimburses the cost according to the agreement. If you choose a more expensive alternative, you pay the difference directly to the optician.
Computer glasses must be suitable for the workplace and stored at the workplace.
