I work as a lecturer in library and information science with focus on reading and activities promoting reading. I have worked at the University of Borås since 1 January, 2017 and have previously been employed as a graduate student in comparative literature at Umeå University. In my dissertation, I examine the Swedish web community for poetry, www.poeter.se, from a literary sociological perspective. I study how the site works as a literary meeting place, the participants introduce themselves and their writing and how poems are read and written in the digital environment. I use a combination of methods and discuss the ways in which digital humanities and computer-assisted methods can be used in literary research.

In my research I have been interested in literature and literary agency's conditions in the media society, digital storytelling, use of media and digital reading. During the fall semester 2013, I was invited as a visiting scholar at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and had the opportunity to immerse myself in how digital methods can be used in the context of humanistic research.

I have previously studied literature, children's literature, and media and communication studies at the University of Gothenburg.
