Salary exchange
The employer and the trade union parties have, with the support of PA16 § 6, entered into collective agreements on individual agreements, which means investing part of your gross salary in an occupational pension before income tax is deducted, a so-called salary exchange.
The minimum amount for voluntary allocation is SEK 500. Market practice is that the total provision may not exceed 35% of your gross salary. As the employer pays lower social security contributions in the event of a salary exchange, the employee is compensated with a premium supplement of 4% on the provision amount.
It is important to read the rules that are linked to salary exchange to see if it is advantageous for you. Salary exchange can be chosen by all employees, but can be more or less favourable to you as an individual.
