Jag är gästprofessor vid Akademin för polisiärt arbete med särskilt fokus på säkerhet och trygghet i relation till den byggda och sociala miljön. Min forskning är inriktad på situationsbaserad brottsprevention och undersöker hur platsers utformning kan påverka brottslighet och bidra till ökad trygghet. Jag är särskilt intresserad av användarperspektiv, dvs hur individer upplever och rör sig i olika miljöer, och hur dessa erfarenheter kan bidra till inkluderande trygghetsskapande åtgärder.

Jag är koordinator för Nätverket Säkraplatser, ett tvärsektoriellt forum som främjar kunskap om brottsförebyggande arbete och möjliggör kunskapsväxling mellan praktik och akademi, med målet att bidra till mer hållbara och trygga samhällen. Genom åren har jag byggt upp ett väl etablerat internationellt nätverk med samarbeten på alla kontinenter.
